    Description

    These antique? vintage Japanese enameled pieces are absolutely beautiful. They are hand painted with a gorgeous variety of vibrant colors. The design is of a colorful bird (a pheasant?) sitting on a cherry blossom tree and surrounded by pink and yellow flowers. These colors stand out nicely against the lustrous black enamel background and bright yellow border.
    I believe this is the famille noir style and the high raised enamels can be felt on the surface. The pieces have their mark and signature on the back and are from Kobe, Japan. I have quite a few pieces in this design. One of them has a label with a number and the artist? name as Y. Taniguchi. Not sure if they are antique or vintage.

    -- Demitasse Cup and Saucer. Excellent condition with no chips, cracks or crazing. Cup is 2" in diameter and 1 3/4" high. Saucer is 3 3/4" in diameter.
    -- Regular Cup and Saucer. Excellent condition with no chips, cracks or crazing. Cup is 3 3/4" diameter and 2" high. Saucer is 5 1/2" in diameter.
    -- Dinner size Plate. Excellent condition with no chips, cracks or crazing. Measures 9 3/4" in diameter.
    -- Salad size Plate. Excellent condition with no chips, cracks or crazing. Measure 8 1/2" in diameter. Two of these plates have "something" on an area of their edge. Don't know what it is but show it on the last picture.
