I’m not a collector, but in 2004 I inherited a toy collection from a very meticulous collector. According to his records he purchased it new in 1998 and he estimated it was made sometime in the 1990's. As marked on the top of the toy, it's made in Germany by Altes Nurnberger Blechspielzeug and copyrighted by Joseph Wagner. This pair of loggers is 8.75" long and made of all litho tin with an actual wooden log.
Toy and box are in very good condition with a few minor scratches on the top of the tin wood pile. I
t works like new. Wind it up with the enclosed key and the two men move the saw back and forth. The original box is made of thick nondescript chipboard and stapled together at the factory and has no rips, tears or creases. I just took it out of the box to make sure it’s all there and test it, other than that, it's been stored indoors and untouched since 2004.
