Handcuff Instructions
To lock handcuffs:
Single lock
Press cuff firmly against the wrist and rotate the jaw until the ratchet is engaged. Tighten jaw as required.
Double lock
With cuff single locked on the wrist, use the tip on the key handle to depress the plunger on the top edge of the cuff. This will lock the jaw against movement in any direction.
To unlock the handcuffs:
Single lock
Rotate the key one quarter turn clockwise. Do not use undue pressure but make sure to turn the key in the proper direction.
Double lock
Rotate the key counterclockwise to release the double lock and then in the opposite direction (clockwise) to disengage the ratchet. Do not apply undue pressure.
Important:
Keep the handcuffs single out when not in use so that they will be ready for use. Lubricate occasionally with light oil.
